This modern twelve storey city building is constructed to a high level with a large atrium aria. The accomodation is mainly offices however other areas include cafe's and restaurants. The basement and roof have extensive plant rooms. A high level of fire precautions have been incorperated in the design including compartmentation, sprinklers and other fire suppression systems and automatic fire detection. Although the building has been designed and constructed to building regulations, the safety advisor contracted in the services of FSD to prepare a comprehensive fire risk assessment.
FSD recommended various procedures to ensure thorough regular inspections and maintenance of active and passive fire protection. An extensive CAD drawing was provided by FSD shouwing all fire precations, which has been acepted as an assest for ongoing fire safety maintenance.
